I bought a new Mac and I wanted to put the old (6.0.5) version of GarageBand on the machine (I need it for podcast recording).But for the time being we can stick with the older version and not download the new one. Incidentally, you can run both in tandem - if you rename the legacy GarageBand version 'GarageBand Old' to differentiate it from the later one, it won't cause an issue when downloading the latest version from the App Store.
